Academy Director
Alanna Andersen serves as the Academy Director at Whistlejacket Farm, where she has built and developed the program into a structured and growing community of riders dedicated to true horsemanship. Over the past three years, she has transformed the academy from a small group into a thriving program, introducing a membership model and progressive horsemanship levels designed to support long-term growth for both horse and rider.

As both a rider and educator, Alanna’s approach is rooted in connection, confidence, and understanding. She believes that great riding begins long before stepping into the saddle, with a strong foundation in groundwork, communication, and trust. Her program emphasizes individualized development, recognizing that each rider’s journey is unique and should be supported with intention and care.

Alanna’s continued evolution as a horsewoman directly shapes the academy experience. She is committed not only to refining her own skills, but to creating an environment where riders are encouraged to grow, take ownership of their progress, and develop meaningful partnerships with their horses.

Her leadership brings together structure, purpose, and community—ensuring that every rider, regardless of level, feels both challenged and supported in their pursuit of excellence.
